Probioguard® is a clinically-led digestive aid that contains four carefully selected friendly bacteria - Bifidobacterium bifidus, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus delbrueckii. These species of live bacteria are specifically selected for:
- People considering travelling abroad, as local cuisine can expose the gut to new challenges where different bacteria strains may be present
- People who have completed a course of antibiotics
- People with regular bloating problems or on-going digestive disturbances.
Lamberts® was one of the first UK companies to produce live bacteria capsules in the UK (over 35 years ago) and we have developed expertise in this area. To ensure proven targeted release for acid-sensitive ingredients such as live bacteria, we have:
- Specifically used Delayed Release (DR) capsules
- A special desiccant built into the tube wall of the pot
- Refrigerated storage conditions until despatch
- Vegetarian capsules made of plant-based cellulose with three times lower moisture content than typical gelatine-based ones.
It is important to note that the billions of bacteria that constitute this product are living microorganisms. As such, adhering to the correct storage conditions is essential, especially given that Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium are particularly vulnerable to heat. This product is to be stored in a cool, dry place at temperatures below 20°C, preferably in a refrigerator.
