Lamberts® Acidophilus Extra 4 contains four billion live bacteria of the beneficial and most clinically researched strains, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium. This product is best recommended to those whose gut flora is unbalanced due to:

• Taking oral antibiotics
• Illness
• Stress
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
• Candida ‘yeast infection’
• Travelling overseas
• Bowel disorders associated with increasing age.

Lamberts® was one of the first UK companies to produce live bacteria capsules in the UK (over 35 years ago) and we have developed expertise in this area. To ensure proven targeted release for acid-sensitive ingredients such as live bacteria, we have:

• Specifically used Delayed Release (DR) capsules
• A special desiccant built into the tube wall of the pot
• Refrigerated storage conditions until despatch
• Vegetarian capsules made of plant-based cellulose with three times lower moisture content than typical gelatine-based ones.

It is important to note that the billions of bacteria that constitute this product are living microorganisms. As such, adhering to the correct storage conditions is essential, especially given that Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium are particularly vulnerable to heat. This product is to be stored in a cool, dry place and protected from light, preferably in a refrigerator.
