Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) has become increasingly popular recently and is considered by some as a 'superfood' due to its high antioxidant activity. It is also believed to gently increase our metabolic rate (our body's ability to convert food into energy) and for this reason has soared in popularity with those watching their waistlines. However, as with most slimming 'aids' the efficacy of green tea is controversial. But since it is also a powerful antioxidant and free radical scavenger, there seems little concern in recommending it to suitable patients. The antioxidant effects are as a result of compounds known as catechins (polyphenols) found in high quality green tea leaf extracts. Lamberts® Green Tea extract has been sourced from one of the world's most sophisticated suppliers and is of the highest quality, containing the correct balance of actives. Our product provides a full 250mg of catechins from whole green tea leaves, providing up to 17.5mg EGCG. Just one tablet is equivalent to ½ litre of traditionally brewed green tea and contains a fraction of the caffeine content

Cautions
Naturally contains caffeine (25mg to 40mg/tablet). Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not exceed 800mg epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) daily. Do not take with other green tea products. Should not be consumed on an empty stomach.
