MSM is a bioavailable form of sulfur related to dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). Sulfur is an element found in all living organisms and 85% of it is provided by MSM and related compounds. We include molybdenum because taking supplemental MSM may encourage urinary excretion of molybdenum.

MSM is a water-soluble, solid compound, also known as dimethyl sulphone. It is a direct metabolite of dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO), and is sometimes called DMSO2.
MSM is a source of biological sulphur, which is a major component in many of the body’s proteins, tissues, hormones and enzymes. Sulphur is plentiful in all living organisms, amounting to about 2% of the dry weight of most animals. Through the formation of disulphide bonds, sulphur is the foundation for proper conformation of extracellular body proteins, holding connective tissue together as well as maintaining the structure of antibodies and hormones.
Large amounts of sulphur are found in hair and nails, and sulphur plays a role in the detoxification of the liver. Intracellular sulphhydryl (thiol) groups are also vital for the catalytic function of many enzymes.
As a food supplement, 3 capsules once daily.
