Consumption of OmniActive Health Technologies’ recently launched CurcuWin curcumin form may significantly increase serum curcuminoid levels over standard curcumin and some other curcumin formulations, says a new study funded by OmniActive.
The word “curcumin” appears in over 23,000 published studies in PubMed (as at October 2018). The reason for this is that curcumin, the active ingredient of the dietary spice turmeric, has been consumed for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, and has therefore prompted this modern scientific research. Modern science has shown that curcumin modulates various signaling molecules, including inflammatory molecules, transcription factors, enzymes, protein kinases, protein reductases, carrier proteins, cell survival proteins, drug resistance proteins, adhesion molecules, growth factors, receptors, cell-cycle regulatory proteins, chemokines, DNA, RNA, and metal ions.

This particular delivery format for the curcuminoids achieves a significantly higher level of absorption than traditional food use.
