Liquid Molybdenum is a diluted solution of ammonium molybdate. Molybdenum is involved in the metabolism of sulfur, uric acid formation, and the detoxification of sulfites, alcohol, and some chemicals
Availability date:
Liquid Molybdenum is a diluted solution of ammonium molybdate.
There is 25 µg of molybdenum per drop. This product can gradually be titrated to higher dosages, and is well tolerated by sensitive individuals.
Molybdenum (Mo) is an essential trace element / mineral, and plays an important role in human life as a co-factor for several enzymes. Although Mo deficiency is rare, deficiency may result in toxicity due to the decreased activity of enzymes requiring molybdenum, particularly the sulphite reductase enzyme.
Molybdenum cofactor deficiency may also lead to a decrease in the activity of molybdenum enzymes.
Molybdenum is also an important cofactor in the transformation of sulphite to sulphate a reaction that is necessary for the metabolism of sulphur-containing amino acids such as methionine and cysteine.
Low uric acid may reflect an insufficiency of molybdenum.
May support those with sensitivities to MSG, sulphites and aromatic or environmental compounds.
Clinical indications of increased molybdenum need may include low serum uric acid in absence of vitamin B12 or iron deficiency anaemia that has not responded to iron supplementation. Note: high doses of molybdenum may induce the loss of copper stores in the body.
Suggested use: As a dietary supplement, 1 to 3 drops one or two times daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
As a mineral food supplement, 3 drops daily.
