Glutagenics™ features three key ingredients – l-glutamine, the bioflavonoid quercetin and zinc. Studies have shown that this combination may together comprehensively support the integrity and optimal function of the gastrointestinal tract
Glutagenics also contains Sustamine® (l-alanyl-l-glutamine). Research has shown Sustamine® helps to increase absorption of l-glutamine. . This is a gentle, yet powerful synergistic blend.
L-Glutamine is the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acid in the body, and it may be made from another amino acid, glutamic acid. Though it can be made in the body, different areas of the body have different requirements for l-glutamine, and the biggest users are the rapidly growing and dividing cells of the intestinal lining.
Glutagenics supplies high levels of the amino acid l-glutamine, with one teaspoon (2.8gm) containing approximately 2000mg (2gm). A powdered form may promote optimal absorption and assimilation.
Sustamine is a dipeptide that combines l-glutamine and l-alanine. Research has shown that this combination of l-glutamine and l-alanine has superior absorption, stability and solubility when compared to l-glutamine alone.
Glutagenics contains zinc which is a crucially important mineral, that’s involved in all areas of the body. Adequate zinc is necessary for a proper functioning immune system. Zinc also plays an active role in cell division, and is therefore important in wound healing, and also, the replacement and regeneration of the gut lining as these cells are constantly being replaced.
Quercetin is a bioflavonoid found in many fruits and vegetables.

Glutagenics has a new formula. Aloe vera and DGL Liquorice have been removed, and zinc, quercetin and L-alanyl-L-glutamine has been added. The amount of glutamine per serving is now 2g. The new formula is an orange flavour and should be taken just once daily.
