MSM supplies a supplemental source of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), an organic sulphur containing compound. Sulphur is a necessary element for the production of collagen, the primary constituent of cartilage and connective tissue. It is also important in the formation of body proteins, via the formation of disulphide bonds, which serve in holding tissues together. Furthermore, intracellular sulfhydryl groups are necessary for the catalytic function of numerous enzymes. As a source of sulphur, MSM plays an important role in carbohydrate metabolism and in the maintenance of healthy hair, skin and nails. It has also been shown to have antioxidant properties. Since dietary consumption of sulphur-containing compounds, such as methionine and cysteine is typically inadequate, MSM may serve as an excellent supplemental source of sulphur.

Directions for use

One (1) capsule one (1) to two (2) times each day as a food supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
