DESCRIPTION

Mo-Zyme Forte™ supplies a supplemental source of molybdenum (Mo). Mo is an essential trace mineral, and plays an important role in human life as a cofactor for several enzymes.

Although Mo deficiency is rare, deficiency may result in toxicity due to the decreased activity of enzymes requiring molybdenum, particularly the sulfite reductase enzyme.

Molybdenum cofactor deficiency may also lead to a decrease in the activity of molybdenum enzymes.

Molybdenum is also an important cofactor in the transformation of sulphite to sulphate a reaction that is necessary for the metabolism of sulphur containing amino acids such as methionine and cysteine.

WHY SUPPLEMENT WITH MO-ZYME FORTE?

May support those with sensitivities to MSG, sulphites and aromatic or environmental compounds.

Clinical indications of increased molybdenum need may include low serum uric acid in absence of vitamin B12 deficiency, or iron deficiency anaemia that has not responded to iron supplementation. Note: high doses of molybdenum may induce the loss of copper stores in the body.

One (1) tablet each day as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
