Description

Betaine Plus HP™ provides Betaine hydrochloride at a potent and higher dose than HydroZyme or HCl Plus. Each capsule provides 700 mg together with pepsin at 10 mg. 

Why Take A Stomach Acid Supplement?

Low levels of stomach acid are extremely common, with the risk of too little emerging as young as 35 years of age. When one requires a higher potency of HCl, and in order to reduce the number of tablets of HydroZyme and HCl Plus, Betaine Plus HP™can provide the right level of digestive support. Protein digestion relies on adequate HCl, and pancreatic enzymes and bile also require sufficient HCl in order to be produced adequately. 

Low stomach acid has many potential negative effects, but particularly with regard to protein digestion and mineral absorption.

Supportive Recommendations

Eat regular meals containing high biological value proteins and consume whole, fresh foods, and minimise all forms of refined sugar and carbohydrates. Drink plenty of fresh water. Chew food well, and relax when eating. Take some form of exercise daily – preferably outside.
